Scientific writing in health sciences (on-site)

Course objectives are

  • to introduce the basic components of scientific writing for peer-reviewed manuscripts
  • to discuss best practices for manuscript preparation including structure, flow and data presentation
  • to expose students to a range of effective approaches to present research results
  • to provide students with practical tools to successfully write and publish a peer-reviewed research manuscript
  • to improve students’ scientific writing skills
  • to introduce students to the manuscript review process and best practices for responding to reviewer comments
  • to discuss ethics and scientific integrity when writing a peer-reviewed research manuscript

Presence is required Aug 24th – Aug 28th.
