Patient reported outcomes and experiences

The Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg

Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are measures of how patients perceive their health and illness after, for example, treatment or other interventions. PREM stands for 'Patient Reported Experience Measures' and measures patients' experience of and satisfaction with healthcare. PROMs and PREMs are used to measure outcomes from the patient's perspective, increase patient participation, and improve care by considering patients' views and experiences. Through lectures, seminars, individual presentations, and feedback, the course aims to provide PhD students with knowledge about PROMs and PREMs, how instruments are developed and used, and how they can apply questions about subjective patient experiences in their thesis work.

The course is open for applications on 1-21 October 2024.
Late application (after 21st October 2024): please contact the course coordinator:  Chatarina Löfqvist, chatarina.lofqvist@gu.se
